1. Take CA 1
north
2. Before Canas, turn left at signs for the Tempesqe Bridge
also known as the "Puente de Amistad" a gift from Taiwan.
This is highway 18.
3. After crossing the bridge, you'll come across Hiway 21.
Go North (Right Turn), heading towards Santa Cruz. When you
get to Santa Cruz, you will be tempted to follow the sign to
Tamarindo. Do not take this, it becomes a very bumpy dirt
road and you'll likely get lost. Continue going towards
Belen.
4. In Belen, turn left onto Highway 155 (two-lane road).
You'll see many signs for hotels in Tamarindo, Flamingo,
etc. that say "Turn here!".
5. While on highway 155, you will come to T-intersection in
Santa Ana. Go Left to continue on this road.
6. In about 20 KM, you'll be in Huacas. Continue going
straight ahead. Do not turn towards Tamarindo.
7. In Matapalo, you'll come to a stop sign at the end of the
soccor field. Go Left and cross the little bridge onto the
dirt road.
8. This dirt road can be a bit bumpy, but you're now about
15 minutes from the hotel.
9. When you enter the Playa Grande area, continue past the
pizzeria and you'll see the first of our signs pointing you
to our neighborhood. You are now 2 1/2 KM away from your
tropical beverage! Essentially, it is two lefts and you are
here!
We are at the south end of the beach in a community called Palm Beach Estates.
From the airport turn right when you get to the main road.
Shortly after passing through Filadelfia, make a right turn toward Tamarindo/Playa Grande/Hacienda Pinilla.
After about 20 minutes, you will go over a steep hill and come to a cross-roads town called Huacas. The signs will say to turn left to go to Tamarindo, but you will continue straight for another 5-8 minutes until you reach a small town with a soccer field called Matapalo.
Following the signs to Playa Grande, you will turn left immediately after passing the soccer field. The road will turn to dirt and you will continue for about 10 minutes.
When you arrive in Playa Grande follow the signs towards Hotel Bula Bula (you will stay left at the first sign and turn left at the second). We are at the south end of the beach in a community called Palm Beach Estates.
Leaving the airport, turn left on the main road.
When you come to the intersection, turn left towards Playa Grande/Huacas.
When you come to the intersection in Huacas, turn left towards Playa Grande/Matapalo. After 5-8 minutes, you will get to a small town with a soccer field called Matapalo.
Following the signs to Playa Grande, you will turn left immediately after passing the soccer field. The road will turn to dirt and you will continue for about 10 minutes.
